Topworkmen.com was featured in a Wire FM news feature focused on raising public awareness to the dangers posed by cowboy traders.
Cheshire radio station Wire FM, which predominantly covers Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn featured Topworkmen.com in a series of news broadcasts on Monday 20 March 2006 aimed at raising public awareness to the perils of employing rogue traders and cowboy workmen.
Director, Colin Verinder was interviewed by the station and advised listeners to be vigilant when employing companies and tradesmen, particularly with those selected to carry out work on their homes. He said that listeners should seek recommendations before employing a company. There were two ways to do this. They could obtain recommendations from friends and family, or they could use Topworkmen.com.
Mr Verinder said “Topworkmen.com allows the general public to view genuine feedback on companies and tradesmen in your local area. This allows you to obtain recommendations and view the type of work carried out by a particular company, allowing you to benefit from the good experiences of others. Topworkmen.com promotes people helping people and is free to the public.”
